Rustic cosy glam, with disco vibes – Maryculter House Hotel and the rest of the crew nailed the brief for this wedding!!

Maryculter House Hotel, steeped in history and relaxed riverside views, is a great all-rounder venue. With options for both outdoor or indoor ceremonies, your plan B will be just as boujee as Plan A .

Despite Nicola and Keith’s dreams for an outdoor ceremony, the Scottish weather decided they would be having an indoor one. However, they were blown away by the styling indoors, perfectly finished off by the stunning autumnal florals and the custom-made neon sign in their rustic arch. They wanted cosy vibes with pops of disco glam, and it’s exactly what their team delivered!

How the wedding day unfolded at Maryculter House Hotel

Morning prep for both partners was at the Maryculter House Hotel – which kept things easy breezy for their morning prep. For more awesome tips on how to keep your morning prep simple and stress free – take a look at this post.

Nicola & Keith’s bridal party consisted of just one of their best friends each – which meant that the whole day had a very laid-back feel.

Their daughter Charley was super excited to walk her Mummy down the aisle. Charley was a real little cutie and I just love the images of her twirling in her special dress. Oh and let’s not forget their honorary doggo of honour – who also got his fair share of portraits and was looking very posh for Mum & Dad’s wedding 🐶🐶 😍😍

It was clear from the moment I met this family that they just wanted a big party with their friends to celebrate completing their “10 year plan”.

Moments that made us ROFL🤣

Oh gosh there are so many but my fave was when the Groom, Keith, announced he had finished his speech at 3.30am that morning and whipped out his laptop to load up his speech. He gave several nervous laughs throughout, which only added to the hilarity, and in all fairness he delivered one of the best speeches I have ever heard, comparable to that of a Frankie Boyle gig. Kudos my friend!

Best parts about working at this wedding at Maryculter House Hotel

The staff are fab, and you know I am a sucker for some epic landscapes in the background. With stunning views of the River Dee,  Maryculter House Hotel is deffo a firm favourite of mine!!! There is plenty of space for you and your partner to get ready (great for first looks and means less time travelling to various locations – aka more epic photos for you!!) Plus it’s dog friendly – and that gets a 10/10 from me 😛😛😛

Dance floor vibes

Like I said, I knew this wedding was gonna be absolutely banging from my initial getting to know you call with Nicola and Keith. The energy didn’t dip all night and the anti-wedding wedding DJ kept the tunes absolutely flying!
