Check out Hannah and Joe’s Rustic Spring Farmhouse wedding in Aberdeenshire
If you’re looking for alternatives to hiring a wedding venue, you need to take some inspiration from Hannah and Joe’s Rustic Spring Farmhouse Wedding which they planned at her sister’s home in Aberdeenshire. I recommend you grab a cuppa and enjoy a few minutes of scrolling to see exactly what your day could look like from start to finish. This is only 1/5th of the images that they were delivered so you can only imagine all the unseen and in-between moments that they had the joy of reliving when their gallery was delivered.
Check out the gorgeous ceremony set up on the front lawn, finished beautifully with large vases overflowing with bouncy spring florals. One of the most important parts of the styling for my bride Hannah was the flowers. And wow, Jill, owner of Hays Florist did not disappoint! This was one of the best floral displays I have had the joy of photographing and she absolutely nailed the colourful spring wedding brief! And Hannah and Joe went that extra mile with their wedding decor, planting tulips the year before in anticipation of having them as a backdrop for their ceremony. Check out how adorable their couple’s portraits are swaying in those flowers that they planted together. How sweet!
They hired Dutch Courage Bar Hire, whose cocktails pack a serious punch, for the afternoon. This added to the fun atmosphere as guests danced away merrily to the sound of Hannah and Joe’s friends who were singing and playing guitar during the drinks reception. One of the things I love about doing a wedding at home, is the flexibility of your timeline. There was ample time for Hannah and Joe to enjoy time with their guests, munch on their delicious canapes, and enjoy the process of having photos taken with their family. No one was pulling them in separate directions and it was good vibes all day!
Hannah and Joe enjoyed a first look at their dining table set up, which was the most adorable reaction EVER! I highly recommend doing this before welcoming your guests to sit down, it make mega cute memories. Guests were then welcomed down to the marquee that had been set up by Elegant Pitches and decorated beautifully by Jill alongside the team at Country Flavours of Alford. An epic meal was had before the dancefloor was filled with everyone busting out their best moves to The Big Papas – a band you must check out. Guaranteed to have your dancefloor filled.
Before I headed off for the night, I took advantage of the gorgeous sunset to grab their bridal party photos, which were mega fun as everyone was so used to me being around by this point. I always love to mingle with your guests and be a part of the party. The bridal party went out with a bang, giving me their best cartwheels. Scroll on to have a nosey and see if this is the sort of vibe you want for your wedding day! Enjoy!
