Hannah & Joe’s Rustic Spring Scottish Farmhouse Wedding in Aberdeenshire 🌸🌿
Looking for an intimate and unique way to celebrate your big day? You NEED to check out Hannah and Joe’s stunning Scottish Farmhouse Wedding! Planned right at her sister’s home in Aberdeenshire, their day was packed with personal touches, good vibes, and seriously gorgeous florals. If you’re thinking about skipping the traditional venue route, grab a cuppa ☕️ and scroll through this beauty! You’ll see exactly how your day could unfold from start to finish.
This blog only shows a fraction of the magical moments they experienced, so imagine all the little in-between shots they got to relive when their full gallery was delivered! 💕
How the day unfolded at this Scottish Farmhouse Wedding
The ceremony was set up on the front lawn, complete with huge vases overflowing with vibrant spring blooms. One of the most important things to Hannah? THE FLOWERS! 🌷 Jill from Hays Florist went above and beyond, creating one of the best floral displays I’ve ever had the joy of photographing. And how cute is this—Hannah and Joe actually planted tulips a year before their wedding to make them the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. Now that’s some next-level dedication, right?! 🥹🌷
After the ceremony, Hannah and Joe’s friends serenaded the guests during the drinks reception 🎶 while everyone sipped cocktails from the Dutch Courage Bar Hire (trust me, those cocktails packed a punch 🍸). They truly made the most of having their wedding at home—no rush, no pressure, just plenty of time to enjoy mingling with their guests, snacking on delicious canapés, and taking some fab family photos!
Special moments and cute surprises 🎉
One of my favourite parts of the day was when Hannah and Joe had a first look at their dining table setup—literally THE most adorable reaction ever! 😍 Highly recommend doing this before your guests are seated; it makes for such cute memories.
Guests were welcomed down to a stunning marquee from Elegant Pitches, which was decorated beautifully by Jill from Hays Florist alongside the team at Country Flavours of Alford. The meal? Epic. The dancefloor? Packed. Everyone was busting out their best moves to The Big Papas, a band you have to check out. Seriously, these guys know how to fill a dancefloor! 🎤💃
Moments that made us ROFL 😆
As the sun began to set, we captured some bridal party photos that were anything but boring. By this point, everyone was so relaxed around me (yay for zero awkward vibes!), and we ended with some hilarious cartwheels from the bridal party. Fun and laid-back—just how a wedding should be, right? 🌀
Best parts about working at this Scottish Farmhouse Wedding
- The flowers… all the heart eyes for that tulip backdrop! 🌷
- Flexibility—Hannah and Joe really made the most of having no venue timeline.
- The relaxed and fun atmosphere, with friends, family, and a killer band.
Dancefloor Vibes 🎶
Once everyone had tucked into their epic meal, it was time to hit the dancefloor. And let me tell you, The Big Papas did not disappoint. They kept the energy high, and the dancefloor was never empty. Hannah and Joe’s guests sure know how to party! 💃🎉
