A Boujee Winter Wedding at Raemoir House with Reindeers and a pet dog

Tell me there’s going to be a dog at your wedding and I am going to be SO excited….then tell em there’s ALSO going to be reindeers, and I just can’t cope!! 😍😍😍Ruth and David planned the most magical Christmas inspired Winter Wedding at Raemoir House and it was certainly a high to end the year on!

Raemoir House is a perfect exclusive hire venue if you want to keep things simple and have everything in one place. There’s plenty accommodation for bridal party and family members so you don’t need to worry about looking elsewhere. The prep rooms are beautiful, so great for having your photos taken in and there’s plenty space for both partners to get ready without worrying about bumping into each other!

Ruth and David wanted the ultimate party inspired by their love for Christmas. They absolutely nailed their assignment, surprising their guests with reindeers after their ceremony. Cairngorm Reindeers were on the grounds for a couple of hours, allowing guests to have their photos taken and meet the reindeers, even getting to take them for short walks. I was absolutely in my element and it was great entertainment for guests whilst mingling.

Thankfully we were blessed with dry weather, albeit a little cold, you really can’t beat that gorgeous winter glow of the early low lying sun set. Very dreamy for photos! Hot Tip – I always recommend bringing your ceremony forward just a little if you are planning a winter wedding, so we have that beautiful light to play with during the early sunset for photos.

Straight after their ceremony we set up a confetti shot and guests were given the cutest “snow-fetti” to shower them with some love. After a little mingling we jumped straight into group photos and kept couples portraits short and sweet so Ruth and David could maximise their time with their guests. Planning these shots in advance is essential to your wedding day time, so you’re not worried about thinking who you need and when. I help all my couples devise a list so we can bash out the shots they want as quickly and pain free as possible all whilst having fun! Nailing this part of your wedding day is my jam, so you can rest assured you’re not going to spend hours on end standing in a line-up that’s giving you sore cheeks from smiling so much. We are going to nail it out the park in no time!
