Ashley and Owen’s Ballogie House Wedding was the perfect blend of rustic chic and Scottish charm—complete with whisky, cigars, and a little rain to keep things exciting! Their day was all about staying true to themselves, keeping things relaxed, and making sure every guest had a blast. And trust me, we did just that!

Ballogie House set the scene for their big day, and even though the rain made an appearance (welcome to Scotland! ☔️), it only made their couples’ portraits even more romantic and cozy. 💕 Ready for some wedding inspo? Keep scrolling!

A Ceremony Full of Emotion & Personal Touches 🎻

Ashley and Owen tied the knot in a beautifully styled marquee, surrounded by autumnal florals and a gorgeous arch that framed the ceremony perfectly. One of the most emotional moments of the day? Owen’s friend played a custom piece of music on the fiddle, written just for Ashley. 😍 Such a sweet, personal touch! There wasn’t a dry eye in the room, I swear.

After the ceremony, it was time for confetti! And since it was pouring outside, we decided to have their confetti shot indoors as they walked down the aisle. Honestly, this turned out SO cute and was way easier to organize than the traditional outdoor version. Plus, it kept the day running smoothly. Win-win! 🎉

Prioritizing Fun & Guests Over Photos 📸

One thing Ashley and Owen were very clear about? They didn’t want to spend too much time on formal photos. They wanted to enjoy their day with their guests, and who can blame them?! So, we structured the photo sessions to fit their vibe. We spent a speedy 10 minutes capturing their group shots while guests sat down for dinner, and then we snuck away for just a few minutes to take some fun, laid-back couple’s photos. Yes, it’s totally possible to get amazing shots and still have time to party! 🎉

Now, let’s talk about how we made the rain work in our favor! Ashley and Owen embraced the weather, stepping outside for a few minutes to capture some romantic cigar shots in the rain. It felt so “them”—raw, real, and full of love. Afterward, we kept things chill by snapping some seriously cool photos of them playing pool inside Ballogie House.
