Lauren & Paul’s Autumn Wedding At The Schivas Steading was one of those days that just hits you right in the chest – the cosy colours, the rustic vibes, the emotional full-circle moment… honestly, I’m still not over it. 🥹
I’ve had the joy of photographing both of their babies as newborns, so capturing their wedding felt like photographing old friends… the kind that greet you with a cuddle and a prosecco. ✨

Lauren and Paul booked me before they even secured their venue (I KNOW, I cried too 😭). Being their first booked supplier was genuinely one of the biggest honours – like the photography equivalent of getting a friendship bracelet.

They wanted their Autumn Wedding At The Schivas Steading to feel relaxed, warm, and totally them – a rustic palette, cosy autumnal tones, and a day centred around friends, family, laughter, and smooching their babies. Literally Lauren’s words:

“I just want to party with my girls, run down the aisle to Paul and spend the day cuddling my pals and my babies.”
And honestly? She absolutely did. 💃🧡👶

Wind, Veils & Pure Chaos (The Best Kind)

It was a windy one – the type of wind where veils get ideas of their own and bridal party hair goes feral in the funniest, most iconic way.
During couple portraits, Lauren’s veil had its own personality – but we embraced it. The laughter? Chef’s kiss. The photos? Windswept perfection.

We nipped up to the Schivas House for a quick breather + couple photos (always recommend stealing 5-10 mins away from the chaos… micro-dates on your wedding day ✨). Then it was back to The Steading to tackle the bridal party photos which were… absolutely unhinged, absolutely iconic, and absolutely THEM. Pure energy. Pure silliness. Pure joy.

Cosy corners, gorgeous stone walls, a courtyard that glows in autumn light, and plenty of space for guests to mingle without being herded around like confused sheep. Perfection.
