Schivas Steading Winter Wedding – A New Year’s Eve Party to Remember!

A Vision of Fun and Glam 💃🕺

For this couple, the idea of getting married on NYE wasn’t just about saying “I do” – it was about throwing an epic party their guests would never forget. Their vision? Disco balls, a million fairy lights, candles, incredible music, great food, endless laughter, and, of course, plenty of drinks!

Schivas Steading provided the perfect backdrop, especially with their “dark and moody” theme in mind. With winter’s early sunsets and the likelihood of a crisp, cold day outside, they transformed the venue into a warm, cosy wonderland filled with golden candlelight and twinkling fairy lights.

The Ultimate Party Atmosphere 🎶🥂

If there’s one thing this wedding delivered, it was energy! The entertainment lineup was nothing short of spectacular. Kicking things off, the roaming set from The Big Papas set the tone during the drinks reception, getting guests in the mood for an evening of celebration. Then, the singing waiters brought an unexpected burst of fun during dinner before the carefully chosen live band The Rox, took over with some ceilidh tunes thrown in, they kept the dance floor packed all night long.

Unique Wedding Touches 🕰️🎊

One of my favourite things about this wedding was how it truly reflected the couple’s personalities. Instead of traditional speeches, they opted for a simple thank-you moment, ensuring no one felt pressured or nervous. They included their fur baby Maisie, because let’s face it – all the best weddings have dogs! And photo time was kept to a minimum because they knew they wanted to spend the majority of their time partying with their guests! The whole day felt so laid back and easy.

As a photographer, this wedding was an absolute dream to capture. The cosy candlelit setting, the dazzling disco balls, and the sparklers made for some truly magical shots. And of course, no wedding would be complete without their adorable pup, Maisie, who was right there in the mix. We also got so lucky with some dramatic light at sunset, making for the most gorgeous couples portraits 🤩
