Leanne & Neil’s “Happily Ever After” Party at The Chester Hotel
When Leanne and Neil first reached out to me, they had plans to celebrate their beautiful wedding ceremony in Ibiza. But, they knew they didn’t want the fun to end there! Back home in Aberdeen, they threw a “Happily Ever After” party for their friends and family who couldn’t make it to the island. And what better place to host than the elegant Chester Hotel? 🎉
Leanne and Neil didn’t want the day to be too formal. They were looking for mostly candid photography—capturing guests laughing, mingling, and just enjoying themselves. Plus, a few sweet snaps with their daughters and niece, who played the part of flower girls. So, when we had our pre-event call, we mapped out exactly what was important to them and how to fit it all into their 3-hour coverage window.
Fun Outfit Changes & Thoughtful Planning
Leanne mentioned something during our call that added an extra layer of fun: she had a special “party dress” lined up for the evening! 💃 However, with my coverage ending before the evening really kicked off, I had a suggestion—why not wear the party dress at the beginning for a few snaps, and then switch into her Ibiza ceremony dress for guest arrivals? Best of both worlds, right?
This is why it’s always a good idea to chat through these little details with your photographer beforehand. We worked out a timeline that covered everything Leanne and Neil wanted—guests mingling, the flower girls being adorable, a cake cutting, and Neil’s speech—before leaving them to party into the night. ✨

Leanne was super keen to have some special photos of their daughters and niece as flower girls, so we made sure to give them a bit of extra attention before the guests arrived.
